OnlineStuff opens online sales for the Nokia N8 device for South African based customers on NokiaStuff

Due to substantial interest in the new Nokia N8, which brings fully integrated social networking tools and a 12 megapixel camera, Nokia today announced that South African consumers are able to order their device online immediately from OnlineStuff. Online orders are now open via NokiaStuff for a cash price of R4 799.00 including delivery.

“OnlineStuff have opened up online orders for cash customers via NokiaStuff so that South Africans have the chance to secure one of the most revolutionary devices to be launched by Nokia in recent months,” says Gerard Brandjes, general manager, Nokia South Africa. “The N8 is the first Nokia device to be running Symbian^3 software which ultimately delivers greater memory to allow more applications to run in parallel on the device.”

The first 1 000 customers that order online will receive a free, one hour consultation with a Nokia Butler who will deliver the phone and go through all the ins and outs of the device.  As well as this all online order customers will get a free silicone cover to go with their device.

In order to ensure that consumers wanting to order and pay for their Nokia N8 immediately can do so, Nokia has partnered with OnlineStuff, a company which provides secure payment and order facilities.  All orders and payments can be made via the OnlineStuff secure website and orders will be handled through Nokia’s existing logistics partners.

MTN customers will need to contact the MTN call centre and ask for upgrades on 808 from their MTN phone or 083 1 808 from any other phone.

The latest offering from Nokia’s smartphone stable has several major advancements including enhancements across the user interface, single tap, touch and support for gestures such as ‘pinch-and-zoom’, three personalised homescreens and 2D and 3D graphics architecture. The N8 comes standard with 16 GB of memory, a 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon flash, HD-quality video recording, film editing software, Dolby surround sound and free life-time Ovi Maps walk and drive navigation for over 70-countries, Nokia Messaging and a 6-month subscription to Ovi Music Unlimited (previously known as Comes with Music) Services.
