Nokia opens care centre in Woodmead Johannesburg

Nokia announced today the opening of its new flagship Nokia Care Centre in Woodmead Retail Park, in northern Johannesburg. The new Care Centre offers a holistic solution to consumers providing not only repair assistance, but also support for Nokia services including the Nokia Ovi Store, Nokia Music Store and, Nokia Mail for Exchange as well as Nokia Messaging. The Care Centre joins a growing list of 21 Nokia Care branded touch points around South Africa.

In addition to the repair facilities for mobile devices, Nokia will also offer onsite support and guidance for synchronisation of Nokia devices pertaining to laptop computers or notebooks, backups and other technical support that may be required.

Nokia currently operates the world’s largest voluntary mobile device recycling scheme with drop-off points in over 5000 Nokia Care Points around the world. The Woodmead store is the most recent addition to this list, with a fixed recycle bin. Any brand of mobile device can be dropped in this bin for safe recycling. Up to 80% of any Nokia device can be recycled and the plastics are used to fuel the recycling process, thus minimising e-waste.

Nokia has partnered with Reconnect Mobile to launch the new Care Centre in Woodmead, drawing on the expertise and guidance of an experienced partner to ensure best practice in customer care. The store will open on Wednesday 24th March and operate 7 days a week from 9am until 6pm Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm on Saturdays and 9am-2pm on Sundays.

The Care Center is situated at Woodmead Retail Centre, Shop 2, Waterval Crescent Dr, Woodmead.
